1. What is a financial coach?
Everyone can use a little clarity with their finances. And sometimes a gentle kick in the pants is all we need. A financial coach brings an unbiased and highly knowledgeable perspective to help you understand your current situation, set financial goals, and identify alternatives. A coach will also give you a layer of support and accountability to help you achieve those goals!
2. Are sessions held in person or virtually? Do I need to be tech savvy to join coaching?
Our sessions are held virtually so we can share screens and talk face to face. You do not need to be tech savvy to join coaching, but we suggest being familiar with how to use the internet, Excel documents, Google Drive, and our online tools. We can also help you fill out the worksheets if you require. Just come prepared with your homework.
3. Do I have access to my coach in between coaching sessions?
Yes! If you have a question about your homework or need a second set of eyes/ears on a financial product or idea you have, you can email your coach directly. Please allow your coach up to 48 hours to respond as they work with multiple clients and may not be able to get to you right away.
4. Can you sell me financial products?
We don’t sell products or manage your investments, but we can help point you in the right direction. Our ENTIRE focus is on educating you and helping you understand your financial situation. We want to show you where you are today and how to get to where you want to be, and help you plan all the steps you will need to take along the way. After that, we guide you through that process with expert support and accountability.
5. Do you have a Money Back Guarantee?
We do! But we don’t guarantee a certain result because this is a customized program and every client has different goals. We stand behind our material and don’t recommend our coaching services unless you really want to, and are ready to make a change. We’re here to make a difference in your financial future, and our program works if you stick with it and do your homework. If you complete the first two sessions in the first 30 days after your enrollment, and don’t think coaching is for you, then you can apply for a refund.
6. Can you tailor coaching to my specific needs?
Of course! None of our clients are the same, and we treat each of our clients differently depending on where they are on their financial journey. We’ve seen it all and will cater our coaching to whatever your goals are. If you’re just starting out with a new job, need to get out of debt, have investments, entering retirement, etc. just let us know what your goals are, and we can help you achieve them.
7. I absolutely loved coaching! Do you have a referral program?
YES! We welcome your referrals with open arms - financial literacy and financial freedom are something all Canadians should share! If you loved our coaching program, please share your success with your network. You can share THIS LINK on your social media, via email, text, or word of mouth. Your referrals can sign up for a FREE Financial Assessment Call to see if coaching is a good fit for them. And if it is, and if they successfully complete all 6 sessions of coaching, then we’ll send you AND your referral a $125 cash bonus as a Thank You!
8. I don’t know if I can afford Financial Coaching or if it makes sense for me to pay for it right now. What should I do?
Our coaching program is an investment in yourself and your future. Consider it the same as taking a College/University course in personal finance – that’s what our program is. Our program works for those who are ready to make a financial change in their lives, and who are coachable. However, if we feel that coaching is not right for you, we will give you your money back, at the discretion of the coach. We are here to help you and make a difference in the lives of Canadians…. because everyone deserves financial awareness. If you feel like you’re not fully ready for coaching just yet, you should look at the online Wealth Mastery program.
9. I am in debt, how can coaching benefit me?
Coaching is not designed just for wealth building. It is tailored to your personal circumstances, and we have helped many coaching clients with debt reduction and elimination. We work with you to come up with a strategy to support you on your financial journey, from paying someone else, to paying yourself first
10. I am very conservative with my investments and nervous about the stock market, will coaching help me with investing?
No one should ever feel “uncomfortable” with their investments. Whether you are ultra-conservative or super aggressive, our goal is to educate you on the options available and help you evaluate the risk and make an informed decision for yourself. In addition to risk, we will also help you with balancing your overall portfolio and understanding the various costs and fees associated with your investments.
11. Can I continue with coaching once completed my sessions?
Absolutely! We love connecting with our clients for check-in and accountability sessions to help you continue your wealth building journey. If you are interested in extending your coaching program, you can CHECK OUT THIS LINK or discuss with your coach directly for more information.
12. What does the Coaching Program include?
Imagine joining a gym for the first time or taking part in a class on a brand-new topic. Sometimes you wish you had an instructor or coach to guide you through building those new muscles or correcting your form; or someone to ask questions to in class when you get stuck on a topic that is just not making sense. Well – enter in our financial coaches. As you work through the program, our financial coaches play the role of expert bootcamp trainers. They tweak your program to help you get the maximum results. Like a coach, they expect you to do the required lifting and exercises and will hold you accountable to your commitments. So, like any change and a good coach, they will help take you to the next level so long as you are willing to do the work required. The coaching program itself includes six, one-on-one sessions with your coach, tickets to our annual live events, partner/spousal inclusion, and lifetime access to our online curriculum.
13. What topics do you cover in coaching?
Great question! And it’s one that we get a lot. We can cover a variety of topics depending on your needs. Coaching can help with budgeting and expense management, saving, debt reduction, investing in stocks, real estate and other passive income strategies, registered accounts (RRSP, TFSA, RIF, RESP etc.), retirement planning, wills, and insurance. Each client is different, and our coaches ensure you get a perfect fit with your situation and needs. Please note that we do not teach advanced investing techniques like day trading or options. We’re all about creating a diversified portfolio that delivers solid returns over the long term.
14. What’s the difference between a financial coach and a financial advisor/financial planner?
In the easiest way possible, a financial coach provides clients with education, information, and accountability so that you can make the best possible position to create initial wealth or become the most efficient with the wealth you've already created. Financial coaches tend to focus on fundamental financial needs and usually take a more personal, hands-on approach to working with clients. While a financial coach works with you as a partner, you are ultimately responsible for your success.
A financial advisor/planner works to manage and build on wealth that already exists and can work with you on all stages of your financial life. Most people work with them on investments and future planning. With more of a focus on managing your assets and long-term planning, advisors tend to take an analytical approach in their work. Your working relationship with your financial advisor may not include as much communication as with a financial coach, but your advisor should still check in with you throughout the year.
15. What sort of professional qualifications and experience do your coaches have?
Our coaches come have a diverse background experience and qualifications which you can learn more about HERE.
